Update 2016.10.16Ĭreated new EQ preset that focuses on entire audio spectrum. If you do have such device, give it a try and let me know how it works.
I remember seeing it on some DVD players and LCD TV’s and even portable MP3/MP4 players, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to test it out yet. These settings can also be applied to hardware devices if they support equalizer like the one found on computers. Result will also vary depending on the speakers you’re using, so don’t expect too much from some generic 2.0 speakers with 5000W of PMPO power…
I usually make 3 presets with different bass depth levels (going from left to right, first 4 sliders in decibel – dB) so I can quickly change the bass as needed.īe aware that using very high levels like the Deep Bass preset, will take away tiny part of the sound presence and will make it sound slightly different (compared to Flat preset), but the outcome will be a spectacular deep bass. Now as you can see from the image, that’s how you have to set it for a deep thumping bass. The picture above is from my Sound Blaster Z control panel, but it will work just the same in any other EQ. It doesn’t matter how many sliders there are in the EQ, always focus on first four sliders. The only thing that counts are the first 4 equalizer (EQ) sliders. You know, for explosions that shake up the entire room/house and doesn’t overdrive the subwoofer? Yup, this is exactly that.Īfter several weeks of testing in music, movies and games, I’ve come to an interesting finding. But sometimes even that just isn’t enough when you want to pump out that proper deep bass. Altec Lansing MX5021 is a THX certified speaker set which outputs some very good bass. Important: Update Patches for Unpatched 5.I have a decent set of speakers, slightly older but still superb set. You probably should update to the latest Winamp version. Search for threads or posts about Smart Views. The filtering can be simple or very complex, it's all up to you. You can make Smart Views in the Winamp media library that will present your files in various ways based on filters that you select. Before I started using WMP I was a huge fan of Winamp (I still use the outdated version in my tablet) and I trust you can do it. be the one that brings a little more to the music player scene. New in Winamp Pro 1.1.0.
With most apps I simply can't make any sense of the way they present me with my music. Pro Bundle - Gapless playback, Crossfade, & EQ not supported for M4A files on Android 2.1 Pro Bundle may not be supported/available on older or less expensive devices with chipsets that do not support floating point calculations What's New in this ver. I also have a folder where I put all videogame music (some are albums and get a sub-folder, others go in the free-for-all-folder, etc.). An example: Normally I organize my mp3s in folders by artist/album (which is pretty straight forward in relation to most apps), but then I have lots of stuff that has no artist, no album or that I simply don't care to organize under that kind of category and group in a "random" folder. I whish I could have more controll over my own files in here. But you can't really organize your stuff in your own way. You have to go with tags, albums, artists, etc.
Most, if not all, music apps are library based, but give you no option to organize your stuff yourself. Sadly since I migrated to Mac I haven't been able to find anything like that.
Until very recent I was a long time user of windows and I've been really happy with the chance WMP gives me to browse all my library using the folders I create and organize, combinig the visual pros the program has (like showing the cover art of what's inside a folder, etc) with the intuitive and user-empowering aspecto of windows' normal explorer system. I like to have control over my files, knowing where they are, organizing them under my criteria and being able to change things around according to my own ideas.
